New Trim

Hi everybody,

I’ve been working on designing some trim for my pens, and I think I’m pretty happy with what I’ve come up with.  I’ll be adding these to more of my pens, and they’re of course available on custom pens as well.

These are rhodium plated brass.  I’ve got gold plated coming in about a month.  Solid bronze or sterling are also options.

I’ve got a clip in the works, too.

Over the years I’ve made lots of clips, one inspired by the old Montblanc 139, and a few simpler ones, but I’m really liking this one.

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks

  1. Shawn,
I like the clip you are designing. The clips you currently use are easy to slip into pockets and other pen cases and holders.
As far as the trim ring, I think it would look best on the Sumpter and Orville models, where the cap is bigger diameter than the barrel. I really like the way the Majestic and Townsend models have caps that are flush with the rest of the barrel, I think it is a very sleek and classy look. I especially like the way you added the sterling trim ring on the blue Townsend I last bought from you.

Thanks for asking our opinions for your designs. I showed off the ebonite Sumpter at the Pelikan Hub last month. I’ll be giving some of your pens to my kids for Christmas. You have special skill, thanks for sharing it.
