A roll stop is just a little stub that sticks out of the cap or barrel (depends on where you want it) and keeps it from rolling off of a table or desk the same way a clip would. The bigger the stopper the better it would work to keep your pen safe on a table top. 🙂
I think the larger ones could be attached like a washer clip – but small ones like this will work fine this way. Small hole in the cap with a bit of epoxy to hold it in place. 🙂
I am not sure I have seen one of these before – how do you use it?

So they just plug in a hole? I always thought they were attached like a clip.
