Client sent me Delta pen to make a new section. Nib unit was no longer staying put inside the section.
Section was cracked and very rotted. Just trying to twist the section out resulted in the front of it breaking off.
I chucked it carefully in the metal lathe and bored out as much of it as I felt comfortable doing. I didn’t know if the section was threaded in or press fit.
Then began picking out with different craft knife blades. Very crunch celluloid.
Here you can see the section was press fit in there (thankfully) and eventually the last bit of section tenon slipped out. No damage to the barrel.
And the sac is good enough to reuse.
